Past Deployments of TX-TERT

On September 10, 2008, in response to warnings about Hurricane Ike approaching the coast of Texas, Sherry Decker, North Region Coordinator for National Emergency Number Association - Texas Chapter (NENA -TX), dispatched a letter to NENA-TX members and the Coastal Bend Agencies reminding them that the Texas Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT) is available to deploy to disaster areas.

Hurricane Ike hit the Texas coast at Galveston on September 13 at 2:10 am CDT as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 110 mph. TERT was activated and the following deployments ensued:
